Salinas is an Industrial Engineer that has passionately built his professional career around science-based ventures and corporate innovation. The knowledge and practice acquired after ten years in professional consulting has allowed him to translate a promising research project from university into an international business with growing revenues and a solid value proposition for multi-billion dollar industries.
Since 2015 Délano has been the CEO of Activa Alternative Assets, where he developed new businesses and supported newly developed associations, especially in the areas of private debt, venture capital, mining and agriculture. Before this was a period of 4 years in corporate finance at Banco Penta, where he participated in transactions including M&A, IPOs and bond issuance.
Over a four-year timeframe, Marcus Meadows-Smith turned around the biopesticide startup company AgraQuest Inc., culminating in the company being acquired by Bayer CropScience for over $400M. Following Bayer’s acquisition of AgraQuest, Meadows-Smith became head of biologics for Bayer CropScience. Previously, he had a 14-year career at Chemtura Corporation, assuming multiple managerial roles and ultimately becoming EVP for a $2B portfolio of businesses that included crop protection services, consumer products, and production of plastics additives.
Co-founder and CSO Zúñiga Navarro is a biologist, and former Dean and Associated Researcher at Universidad de Santiago de Chile. He has vast experience in the field and in applied research on endemic plants from Chile, including work on the only two known plant species from Antarctic territory. He holds several international inventions patents and publications.
Biotechnology engineer Zúñiga Líbano is experienced in bioprocesses design and operation in addition to having an entrepreneurial mindset and strong management skills and experience.
Ibáñez boasts business innovation and improvement expertise including experience at both the corporate level and with start-up firms, including 15 years of experience developing and implementing innovative strategies. He also has expertise in consulting, finance, business process re-engineering, transformation and change management, with extensive experience in the forest and agriculture industry.
